“Queli”, the short form of the word chestnuts of Queshan County in Henan Province, is famous for its big size, full meat and good taste and attached importance by the fruit industry all over the nation. In the 1960s, red and purple chestnuts from Queshan were selected as the national superior varieties. Queli also enjoys a good reputation in Hong Kong, Macao, Japan and Southeast Asian countries markets.
