The Chongdugou Landscape Area, situated on the Xiong’er Mountain which is 10 kilometers away from the southwest of the Tantou Town of the Luanchuan County, has more than 50 hectares of dense bamboo forests in which a large number of wild animals and plants grow. The whole scenic area is composed of two districts. The South Valley is highlighted by water, with rushing waterfalls and brisk springs while the West Valley boasts of the flourishing bamboo forest. Major scenic spots include: the Sea of Bamboo, the Waterfall Palace, the Divine Bodhi Tree, the Waterfalls & Springs, the Lake in the Air, the Mushroom Cliff, the Tingtao (Wind-listening in the Sea of Bamboo) Hill and more than 100
others.

The Rainbow Waterfall

The Rainbow Waterfall, a natural waterfall with a height of 42 meters, got its name out of its great beauty like a rainbow in front of visitors under sunshine after rain. Thanks to a torrential stream rushing down in a quick speed of 0.4m³/s, it's really an enjoyment to watch such a spectacle and feel the cool spattering water drops.

The Xiefen Cliff Waterfall

The Xiefen Cliff Waterfall, the largest, fastest and most spectacular one in both Jinji River Scenic Area and Nanxian County of Luoyang, is more than 180 meters tall with a top speed of 0.50m³/s. It is also the most famous scenic spot of the Chongdugou Landscape Area, widely known among visitors.

The Waterfall Palace

The Waterfall Palace is a natural dissolved cavern with various fancy stalactites in shape of hanging lotuses, coiling dragons, sitting Buddha, flying cranes, climbing monkeys etc. Covering a tourism area of 800m², the palace is 40 meters long, 20 meters wide and 4 meters tall. For its rare conspicuous stalactites which are so lifelike and vivid, it is extolled as the “Museum of Stalactites” of Chongdugou Landscape Area.
